At the premises of the Association "Children's Land in BiH", a meeting was held between representatives of the Ombudsman Institution for Human Rights with representatives of the non-governmental sector.
The topics of discussion were issues of importance for the realization of the rights of vulnerable categories of citizens in Tuzla Canton, with emphasis on the implementation of the recommendations issued by the Ombudsmen to subjects from the canton, regarding the health care of children, the release of children from the payment of participation (annual stamps) health care. They also discussed the provision of health insurance for uninsured women and maternity care, dental services for children with intellectual disabilities, ensuring the sustainability of Roma children in the education system, maternity benefits, access to mediation for victims of domestic violence, etc. Conclusions with of this meeting will be presented by Ombudsman Jasminka Džumhur at the upcoming meeting with the cantonal authorities as well as in the annual report on the human rights situation in BiH of this Institution.
