Dear friends, dear donors and partners, dear citizens,

The Association of Roma Women "BOLJA BUDUĆNOST" Tuzla brings you another annual work report this time for one of the most challenging years, 2021. Many of us will remember the year with a feeling of helplessness, sadness, and grief for those who lost their lives due to the COVID-19 virus. Since the beginning of the pandemic, both through 2020 and 2021, we have tried to respond quickly and adequately to the needs of the Roma community. We tried to implement all our regular projects and activities regularly and adequately, adapting them to the current circumstances of the pandemic. Multiple discrimination is the most common fact related to Roma women. In addition, low levels of education and social exclusion make Roma women the most vulnerable group within the Roma community. These women are poorly informed about their rights, and the presence of problems in rural areas should be further emphasized. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage networking of Roma women to strengthen their activities and greater visibility in the local community and BiH society in general. We have worked on all this both in the past years and during 2021, and we bring you all these projects and information in this report. We would like to acknowledge and thank our employees, volunteers, and activists, who were ready to adapt to all the changed working conditions and, despite all these challenges, to achieve more than we planned for 2021. We thank our donors who have allocated funds or invested their time and knowledge to contribute to the creation of a better and equal society in BiH. We use your resources carefully to provide appropriate assistance and support to Roma women, Roma children, and the entire Roma community in BiH.
