Pursuant to Articles 10 and 11 of the Law on Associations and Foundations of BiH (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina No. 32/01 and 12/03), the founding assembly, with the participation of the Founder, held on June 13, 2010 in Zenica for the establishment of the Rome women Network "USPJEH".
The founders of the Roma women network "USPJEH" (hereinafter: Roma women network) are the following organizations:
- UŽR "Bolja budućnost" Tuzla
- ORIV "Budi mi prijatelj" Visoko
- UR "Romska suza" Srebrenica
- UR centar za majke "Nada" Kakanj
- CZM "Palma" Vitez
- CZR "Utjeha" Zenica
The Roma women network is a non-governmental, non-profit, independent, voluntary, non-profit network that brings together women's local non-governmental organizations in B&H. The Roma women network operates across the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Framework Goal and Line of Roma women network is to improve the status of the Roma national minority with an emphasis on Roma women in B&H. As part of the realization of this goal, the Roma women network will, in accordance with the Council of Ministers Strategy create and adopt a plan of activities with concrete measures in the field of:
- promotion of international human rights instruments that B&H has ratified, other statutory and by-laws - the obligation of the state is to provide protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms for all.
- finding resources and implementing projects in the following areas: health and social protection, education, housing, economic and any other empowerment of Roma people.
- the active participation of Roma women in the implementation of the Action Plans, the Decade for the Social Inclusion of Roma.
- active participation of Roma women in policy making.
- promote Roma culture, tradition and history with the aim of reducing prejudices and stereotypes towards Roma population in particular against Roma women.
- strengthening the capacity of activists and members of the network.
- Promotion of Gender Equality.
- organization of seminars, workshops, round tables, conferences, promotional meetings, public forums and public advocacy campaigns.
- issuing brochures and other publications, education for different target groups.
- carrying out activities on the prevention of trafficking in human beings in B&H, with special emphasis on working with risk groups.
- engaging in other activities that are in line with women's Roma network goals.
