The day of the local community Kiseljak

Employed three Roma mediators

Within the project "For the active inclusion and the rights of Roma women in the Western Balkans", which is implemented with the support of CARE International Balkans since 1 September 2016, the Association of Roma women has employed a total of three Roma mediators which will in Tuzla, Sarajevo, Prnjavor and Vukosavlje continuously work on connecting the Roma community with local government institutions and work on solving the problems that the Roma population faces.

The Global Fund for HIV and AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) for B & H and in the framework of which the World Vision in Bosnia and Herzegovina implemented projects: "The maximum coverage of effective HIV prevention and care among the population at increased risk," and "Strengthening the control of tuberculosis in the Roma and other vulnerable populations "have successfully been completed.

"Better Future" received an award

Association of Roma women "Better Future" City of Tuzla is Award winner for female entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2016 by CARE International Balkans. Award at the conference titled "Social Entrepreneurship, challenges and capabilities support the economic strength of women" held in Sarajevo on 06.09.2016 was granted to the president of associations Mrs. Indira Bajramovic.

An example of successful social enterprises operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those run by women, as the experience of countries in the region, were presented yesterday in Sarajevo, the conference Social entrepreneurship, challenges and opportunities in the organization Care International Balkans.
The conference was organized in the framework of multi-year project of the Economic Empowerment of Women, during which they established three women cooperatives and assisted more than 90 business initiatives of unemployed women in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

05/09/2016 Association of Roma women "Better Future" City of Tuzla was host to guests from CRI- Niksic and Bonafide-Pljevlja who are organized by CARE International visited our association with the aim of exchanging experiences in the project of economic empowerment as well as to hear about our experiences around forming the first female Roma cooperatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The "Economic Empowerment of Roma Women" aims to empower women by building their capacity and skills development to equally able to participate in economic activity, while on the other hand enjoy all the rights guaranteed to them by law as a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
