As part of the program, Imkaan works with UN WOMEN to support the establishment of the Regional Expert Working Group on Intersectoral Discrimination and Violence against Women. The Regional Expert Working Group will provide a unique opportunity for women organizations from the Western Balkans and Turkey to negotiate with a broad spectrum of key actors, including the UN and the Council of Europe, on law reform issues and policy development.On this occasion, the representatives of our association attended a regional meeting in Istanbul, at the end of November 2017, on which a regional expert working group was formed to combat violence against women and domestic violence.
