Conference: Social entrepreneurship, challenges and opportunities-Support economic power of women

An example of successful social enterprises operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those run by women, as the experience of countries in the region, were presented yesterday in Sarajevo, the conference Social entrepreneurship, challenges and opportunities in the organization Care International Balkans.
The conference was organized in the framework of multi-year project of the Economic Empowerment of Women, during which they established three women cooperatives and assisted more than 90 business initiatives of unemployed women in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


The first target group are women entrepreneurs who have provided training and given financial support to the business ideas, especially in rural areas, and the other target groups are Roma women and women who have been victims of domestic violence.
At the conference, representatives of the Association of Roma Women "Better Future" City of Tuzla presented the interim results of the project "Economic empowerment of Roma women" and presented the first Roma women's cooperative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
